This really easy sub “sandwich” is super easy to make, and I was surprised at how good it was. I didn’t really miss the bread at all!
Lettuce wrapped sandwiches (the “unwich”) are easier to make than I thought, and actually highly satisfying. Here’s a picture of the one I did ‘deconstructed’… I just put all three of these layers together wrapped up:
- Lay out the romaine lettuce leaves on a plate, spread each with half the mayo. Sprinkle on black pepper and vinegar.
- Lay the meat and cheese on each leaf.
- Put the two halves together and wrap up with a paper towel, eat immediately.
